You get to go through a "training center," which is a small hallway where you have to navigate through lasers without touching them. **The next stop is the Ninjago laser game. At the purchase you can view a photo that was taken while on your ride. Your score is recorded on the car, but you do not get a print out. You get a toy gun and have a chance to shoot the spiders, bugs, and bad guys (it's Lego so not really that bad) along your ride to help the knights. There are 4 people to a car, and it goes slow enough for all ages (my daughter got to ride and she's 2). This game is around 7 minutes long and is medieval themed. **After walking through a lab to push buttons and turn wheels to show how Legos are made, you'll get a chance to ride through a game. Otherwise, you'll have kids climbing over all the Lego displays! I would suggest having a game or video on a tablet to keep the kiddos entertained until it's your turn. But expect to wait if you don't catch them about to open the doors. I understand they do this to avoid large crowds, and I certainly appreciate them spreading the visitors out so everyone can have a front row seat. I was also annoyed that we weren't told we needed to wait and that it could take up to 30 minutes. I was rather disappointed that when the doors opened, there was no introduction.Just an employee telling us we could come in. I was expecting someone in a lab coat to enter and get the crowd excited and even show something cool about Legos. A cartoon is playing on the TVs asking you to wait for the professor to arrive. ** You'll first enter into a lobby area with two yellow doors. This allowed him to get a "reward" for completing the task. We didn't allow him to stamp his pack until he finished the activity. My 4 yr old got excited every time he found a stamp station. If you collect all the stamps, you get a small souvenir. You can find stamp stations all over the center. Lanyards: There is a fun activity pack for a reasonable price (it was $4 at our visit) for kids (or adults!) to record the areas they've visited. Plus, Lego likes to offer deals like a BOGO or big discount if you purchase early. It's a better deal if you pre-purchase if you know which day you are going. Tickets: You can purchase your tickets online or upon arriving. There is a Moe's Southwest Grill, Johnny Rockets, and Subway across from them. It's located on the 3rd floor, and takes up most of the square footage. The parking is free and there's easy access. Location: Legoland is located in Phipps Mall, which is a swanky place (think Tiffany's). I've listed an overview of what to expect and some tips for first-timers ġ. Overall, we loved the experience, although we did have a few cons. We decided to take our little family to Legoland Discovery Center on a Sunday. ** If you found this review helpful please give me a helpful vote.** Thanks for reading! There really isn't much for them other than the toddler play place & playing with Legos. I thought they might give out a special Lego figure that you can only get at a Lego attraction.Ĥ. Luckily we were able to trade with some of the employees and they left happy. I was disappointed that they gave the kids Simpson themed Legos. We selected the Lego ticket that came with a figure. If you buy online you're guaranteed entry on that day and time. Buy tickets online for a discount! Plus they have a limit on how many people can enter at once. It's on the 3rd floor across from the movie theater.Ģ. Lego Discovery is in the mall! They need more signs. I do agree with the others that it really didn't feel like a LEGO movie but all of the kids still loved it.ġ. I liked how they had a Lego Discovery employee monitoring the gated entrance to this area.Īrea 7: 4D movie. There is also a private room where you can sign up for a building session with a Lego expert.Īrea 6: Play Place! Like you'd find at a fast food place but much bigger. They have 4 race tracks with plenty of room for many cars to race at once. It's a little short so we went twice!Īrea 3: Mini Lego land: Star Wars & Atlanta attractionsĪrea 4: Snack area & small toddler area (like you'd find in a fast food place)Īrea 5: Build a lego race car. On this day they were handing out a large yellow lego with their logo.Īrea 2: Fun Lego Land style ride. We were there for 3 hrs.!Īrea 1: Welcome room. I compare it to a children's Museum but everything has to do with legos. All of them loved it! I can understand why some were disappointed if you didn't fully understand what this place is.
